We offer state-of-the-art technology, and experienced, highly skilled physicians and nurse educators to assist you and your family when faced with a cancer diagnosis.

The Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center uses a multidisciplinary approach to treating breast cancer. Treatments may include: surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, or targeted treatment.

Breast Cancer Care Coordinators

Cancer Care Coordinators at the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center can provide you with information about the available treatment options for breast cancer. The Cancer Care Coordinators are experienced, advanced-practice oncology nurses who can answer questions, refer you to surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists. They also can provide strategies on how you can be your own healthcare advocate.

For your convenience, Scottsdale Healthcare’s three campuses (Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center, Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center, and Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital) provide surgical facilities. Surgery often is the first step in breast cancer treatment. Our caring and highly skilled surgeons and community oncologists are experienced and stay current with the latest innovations in breast cancer care.

Radiation Treatment for Breast Cancer

Radiation also may be part of the treatment plan for a breast cancer diagnosis. Scottsdale Healthcare offers two locations for Radiation Oncology – one at the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center, and the other at our Osborn campus.
